60% More Parts Per Tool with POW•R•FEED M90®

IMCO Introduces New 5-Flute End Mill for High Output and High Performance

PERRYSBURG, Ohio – August 13, 2007 – Increased production rates, higher tool yields and lower manufacturing cost – what more could a shop ask for in a variable-geometry end mill? IMCO Carbide Tool Inc. is pleased to introduce POW•R•FEED M90, the newest in high-performance end mill technology. Their new 5-flute end mills provide enhanced performance for roughing, slotting and finishing difficult-to-machine materials.

With POW•R•FEED M90, only a single tool is needed for machining a variety of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, high-temperature alloys, inconels, titanium, cast iron and hardened steels. The tool was designed with the single focus of pushing metal removal and feed rates well above standard rates of production. POW•R•FEED M90 features a premium substrate of advanced-grade cemented carbide, a multi-layer heat-resistant coating matrix and unique geometry to minimize harmonic vibrations for smoother performance. The end mill is available in the 4-flute design for general-purpose milling, and the new 5-flute technology provides an additional cutting edge for improved surface finish and increased tool output.

“We are incredibly proud of the new POW•R•FEED M90 technology,” remarks Perry Osburn, president and CEO of IMCO Carbide Tool Inc. “The higher feed and metal removal rates attained with the POW•R•FEED geometry increase the number of parts per tool that our customers can machine. Our tools are engineered, designed and tested in practical applications to provide the best possible results.”

With design features to meet the needs of every application, both the 4-flute and 5-flute POW•R•FEED M90 end mills are available in a wide variety of end designs, shank designs and lengths. (For complete specifications see brochure.)
